Creston Man Arrested for Marijuana and Prescription Drug Possession
A 28-year-old man from Creston, Iowa, was taken into custody last Wednesday afternoon for allegedly possessing marijuana and prescription drugs without a valid prescription. Carlos Ivan Cortez was arrested at his residence in the 600 block of North Pine Street by the Creston Police Department.
Cortez was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, 2nd offense, and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. He was taken to the Union County Jail and held on a $2,000 bond.
The Creston Police Department did not provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the arrest or the types of prescription drugs involved.
