Kentucky Announces Winners of Medical Marijuana Dispensary Licenses
The Kentucky Office of Medical Cannabis and Governor Andy Beshear have announced the winners of the first group of dispensary business licenses for most commonwealth counties. The lottery drawing, which took place on Monday, randomly selected four applicants per region from a pool of over 4,000 applicants.
The 36 businesses chosen will have 15 days to pay their licensing fees and will be issued a license once the fees have been paid. The winners come from regions 3-11, excluding Jefferson and Fayette counties. The lottery drawings for these regions will take place in December.
