Santa Maria Man Nabbed for Illegal Marijuana Sales, Again

A 25-year-old Santa Maria resident, Apolinar Ordaz, has been arrested by Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives for running an illicit marijuana sales operation. The arrest comes after a search warrant was served at Ordaz’s home in Tanglewood and another location on Rochelle Lane in Santa Maria on March 13.

During the search, authorities discovered evidence of an illegal marijuana business, including online sales to states where cannabis sales are not permitted. Ordaz was taken into custody and charged with one felony and two misdemeanor marijuana violations.

This is not Ordaz’s first run-in with the law. He is currently being held without bail due to a probation violation stemming from a previous charge for illegal and unlicensed cannabis sales in January 2024.
