California State Fair Offers Free Cannabis Seeds for a Penny
At the California State Fair, visitors can now get a packet of cannabis seeds for just a penny. The California Cannabis Experience exhibit is offering the seeds to encourage people to grow their own cannabis at home. According to Embarc co-founder Dustin Moore, thousands of seeds have already been given out, and the goal is to get as many people as possible to start growing their own cannabis.
California law allows individuals to grow up to six plants for personal use, and the state fair is hoping to promote this hobby by providing the seeds. Moore emphasized that growing cannabis is easy, requiring only sun, water, fertilizer, and a little love. The Humboldt Seed Company in Northern California is providing the seeds, and organizers expect to hand out 15,000 packets at the fair.
The California State Fair has already recognized the best cannabis growers in the state with its Golden Bear awards, and this year, it is introducing a new category for home growers. Visitors who pick up seeds at the fair could be competing alongside the state’s top farmers next year.
The California Cannabis Experience exhibit aims to promote responsible cannabis use and encourage people to try growing their own cannabis at home. With the seeds available for just a penny, it’s an opportunity that many people won’t want to miss.
