Ohio’s THC Drink and Hemp Product Sales Halted, But Judge’s Ruling Puts Brakes on Ban
A temporary reprieve has been granted to Ohio businesses that sell THC-infused drinks and hemp products, following a court ruling that paused Governor Mike DeWine’s 90-day ban on intoxicating hemp products. Franklin County Common Pleas Court Judge Carl Aveni made the decision on October 14, allowing stores and breweries to resume sales of these products while a lawsuit challenging the ban is ongoing. The three businesses that brought the lawsuit claim that DeWine’s order exceeded his authority and caused significant disruption to the industry.
