Arkansas Medical Marijuana Sales Reach Record-Breaking $240 Million
Arkansas has seen a significant surge in medical marijuana sales, with a total of $240.9 million spent from January to October 2025. This marks a 5.7% increase compared to the same period last year, when sales reached $227.8 million. Patients have purchased a total of 65,525 pounds of medical marijuana, a 3,400-pound increase from 2024.
In September, patients purchased 6,350 pounds of medical marijuana, spending $22.6 million, while in October, they purchased 6,883 pounds, totaling $25.1 million. The state’s medical marijuana program has seen a significant increase in active patient cards, with 112,760 cards currently in circulation, up 3,700 from two months ago.
Arkansas is on track to break its annual record of $283 million in medical marijuana sales, with sales expected to surpass this mark by the end of the year. The state’s medical marijuana tax is allocated to provide free meals for students in the public school system, with an estimated $30-33 million in revenue generated by the end of the year.
Regional sales figures show varying levels of activity, with Benton County, Washington County, Carroll County, Johnson County, Sebastian County, and Crawford County all reporting increased sales in September and October.
