Arizona to Allow Recreational Marijuana Delivery Starting November 1
As of November 1, Arizona residents 21 and older will be able to have recreational marijuana delivered to their homes. Previously, only medical marijuana patients were eligible for home delivery. The change comes after voters approved Proposition 207 in 2020, legalizing recreational marijuana sales in the state.
The Arizona Department of Health Services will oversee the expanded delivery service, which will be offered through individual dispensaries or third-party delivery services that partner with state-licensed dispensaries. This marks a significant milestone for Arizona’s marijuana industry, which has seen significant growth since recreational sales began in January 2021.
With the new delivery option, residents will have more convenient access to recreational marijuana, which is expected to boost the state’s economy and create new job opportunities. The expanded delivery service is also expected to reduce the need for individuals to visit dispensaries in person, which could help reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
