Arizona Becomes Seventh State to Allow Recreational Marijuana Delivery

Arizona Makes History with Legal Recreational Marijuana Delivery

As of November 1st, Arizona has become the seventh state to allow recreational marijuana delivery, marking a significant milestone in the industry. Earth’s Healing, a Tucson-based dispensary, made the first recreational marijuana delivery to a midtown home, catering to a broader audience seeking discreet or convenient access to cannabis.

The dispensary had previously offered delivery services for medical marijuana but expanded its operations to meet the growing demand for recreational products. Operations Manager Mike Shew emphasized the importance of the new service, stating that it will benefit individuals who may not be able to visit a dispensary in person, such as those seeking discretion or those with mobility issues.

The delivery service is designed to reach underserved areas of Tucson and surrounding communities, including Oro Valley, Marana, Green Valley, and Vail. Shew noted that the dispensary has moved its delivery operations to a central location to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers across the region.

Caitlyn Cox, the first recreational marijuana delivery customer in Tucson, praised the convenience of the service, stating that it allowed her to browse products, view sales, and place an order with ease. She believes that delivery will revolutionize the industry, making it more accessible and appealing to customers.

Arizona joins a select group of states that includes California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Michigan, and Massachusetts, which have also legalized recreational marijuana delivery. While regulations vary between states, Arizona’s rules set a $10,000 product limit per vehicle and require lockboxes and onboard cameras for security.

Earth’s Healing offers both phone and online ordering options and has waived delivery fees through the end of 2024. Customers can also receive a free product on their first delivery. With eight vehicles in its fleet, the dispensary is well-equipped to handle the anticipated demand for its delivery service.
