Massive Marijuana Grow Operation Seized in Lane County, Oregon

Lane County Sheriff’s Office Seizes Massive Marijuana Grow Operation

In a significant bust, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) discovered a massive marijuana grow operation in the 86000 block of Mahogany Lane, south of Springfield, Oregon. The operation, which was found to be illegal, was producing thousands of pounds of marijuana, which was being sold out of state.

The investigation began after a traffic stop in Illinois resulted in the discovery of 242 pounds of marijuana. The trail led LCSO detectives to the Mahogany Lane property, which was a licensed Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) growing location. However, the marijuana produced at the site was not being tracked by the OLCC, and a significant portion was being sold illegally out of state.

During the search warrant, LCSO deputies found over 2,000 pounds of marijuana, including half that was illegally stored on the property. In addition to the marijuana, the authorities seized several high-value stolen trailers, tractors, and two stolen firearms, including a suppressed AR-15. Multiple other firearms were also recovered.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Lane County Lane Management Code Compliance program will follow up on code violations discovered at the property. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact LCSO at (541)-682-4141 in reference to case 24-6574.
