Detroit Police Crack Down on Illegal Dispensary Selling Marijuana to Minors

A tip led authorities to Puff Puff Pass, an unlicensed dispensary in Detroit, where they discovered the business was selling marijuana to minors. On January 9, police searched the location and seized over 200 pounds of marijuana, as well as a pound of mushrooms and $737 in cash. Two handguns were also found and confiscated.

The illegal dispensary, located in the 8000 block of E. 7 Mile, was found to be operating without a license and selling large quantities of marijuana, exceeding the state’s legal limit of 2.5 ounces per person and 10 ounces per home. The seized marijuana totaled over 3,200 ounces.

Two employees were detained and cited for operating an unlicensed business and possessing more than the legal amount of marijuana. The bust highlights the dangers of illegal drug sales, particularly to minors, and the importance of enforcing laws and regulations surrounding the sale and possession of marijuana.
