Fourth Suspect Charged in Murder of Pontiac Marijuana Business Owner

A fourth individual has been charged in connection with the murder of Sam Simko, the owner of a marijuana business in Pontiac, Michigan. Christopher Matacia, 33, of Cincinnati, Ohio, has been accused of felony murder, armed robbery, and other crimes related to Simko’s January 13th murder.

Simko, 66, was found shot and zip-tied with a bag over his head at his marijuana facility during an apparent robbery. Investigators believe the murder was a well-coordinated and cold-blooded robbery, and that all those involved will be brought to justice.

Three other suspects, William Creasy, Scott Brown, and Deonte Prophett, were previously arrested and charged with murder. The suspects were tracked to Cincinnati and are believed to have forced their way into Simko’s business, where one of them was let in and the others burst in, executing the owner.

Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald stated that the evidence suggests Simko’s murder was a senseless act that will not be tolerated in Oakland County. The county sheriff, Mike Bouchard, described the scene as “basically an execution” and emphasized that the suspects will be held accountable for their actions.

Matacia’s charges include felony murder, armed robbery, two counts of felony firearm, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He is the fourth suspect to be charged in connection with Simko’s murder, and all four suspects will face justice for their alleged roles in the crime.
