Lane County Sheriff’s Office Cracks Down on Illegal Marijuana Operations
In a significant bust, law enforcement officials in Lane County, Oregon, have seized over 10,700 marijuana plants and hundreds of pounds of processed cannabis products from multiple locations. The illegal operations were discovered after the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) reported a business, known as “Agricola,” was operating outside of legal requirements.
The investigation, which began on April 3, involved serving search warrants at several locations in Springfield, Eugene, and Cottage Grove. The sites included a greenhouse, several warehouses, and a planned dispensary. The seized marijuana plants were found at the greenhouse and warehouses, while the processed cannabis products were discovered at various locations.
The sheriff’s office stated that some of the locations were licensed, but failed to comply with legal requirements. The investigation is ongoing, and several individuals have been contacted, with charges to be referred to the Lane County District Attorney’s Office for consideration.
The public is encouraged to come forward with any information that may aid the investigation. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 541-682-4141, referencing case number 25-1547.
