Georgia Bureau of Investigation Seizes Over 400 Pounds of Suspected Marijuana in Metro Atlanta Raids

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) executed search warrants on December 4, 2025, in Atlanta and Sandy Springs, resulting in the seizure of over 400 pounds of suspected marijuana, six firearms, and other illegal drugs. Authorities arrested Travys Davy, a 34-year-old man from Sandy Springs, on charges related to racketeering, marijuana trafficking, and possession of firearms.

According to the GBI, the arrest is part of a lengthy investigation into a criminal drug trafficking organization. The agency has not released details on what triggered the searches or how investigators linked Davy to the alleged drug operation.

The seized drugs included more than 400 pounds of suspected marijuana and about six ounces of alprazolam, a controlled substance. The six firearms recovered during the raids have not been linked to any specific crimes.

Davy was booked into the Fulton County Jail and is awaiting his next court appearance. The GBI is encouraging anyone with information about drug activity to come forward and report it to the agency.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released information on potential distribution networks or whether any of the seized firearms were used in other crimes. As the case develops, additional charges may be filed against Davy and others involved in the alleged drug trafficking operation.
