Michigan’s Cannabis Market Braces for Turbulent Year Ahead
As the new year begins, Michigan’s legal cannabis industry is on the cusp of significant transformation. Following six years of recreational sales, the state’s marijuana market experienced a contraction in 2025, marking the first decline since its inception in December 2019. According to the latest data from Michigan’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency, recreational dispensary sales dipped by 3% in 2025, reaching $3.17 billion compared to $3.28 billion in the previous year.
