Arizona-Based Dispensary Offers Marijuana Strains Named After Presidential Candidates
In a unique marketing campaign, Curaleaf, a chain of marijuana dispensaries in Arizona, is offering three election-themed strains of marijuana named after presidential candidates Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, and Jill Stein. The “Toke the Vote” campaign is designed to add some fun to the election season, with each strain available for $30 an eighth at all 16 Curaleaf locations.
The three strains, Kamala Kush, Donald OG, and Space Jill, have slightly different THC content and taste profiles. According to Curaleaf representative Luke Flood, the THC content is around 29.5% for all three strains, with a hybrid dominance that gives them a distinct flavor profile.
So far, the sales of the strains are neck-and-neck between Donald OG and Kamala Kush, with Flood stating that the products will be available at all 16 locations in Arizona through Election Day, November 5th.
The “Toke the Vote” campaign is a creative way for Curaleaf to engage with customers and add some humor to the election season. With the election just three weeks away, it remains to be seen how popular these unique strains will be among voters.
