Kentucky’s First Medical Marijuana Dispensary to Open in Lexington
Lexington, KY – The wait is almost over for medical marijuana patients in Fayette County. One of the two licensed dispensaries in the area, Speakeasy, is set to open its doors in early November at the former Frisch’s Big Boy location on Sir Barton Way and Man O’ War.
Casey Flippo, CEO of Dark Horse Cannabis, the company behind Speakeasy, shared his vision for the dispensary, which aims to provide a unique and professional experience for patients. “We’re not going for a graffiti-covered, chaotic atmosphere,” Flippo said. “Instead, we’re focusing on a systematic approach that prioritizes patient needs and comfort.”
Flippo, who has extensive experience in management and cannabis retail, is confident that Speakeasy will offer a wide range of products that meet Kentucky’s medical marijuana regulations. “We’re excited to bring a high-quality, immersive experience to the patients of Fayette County,” he said.
The dispensary’s location, which is currently undergoing demolition, is expected to be fully renovated by early November. Flippo and his business partner, Sean Clarkson, are eager to bring their expertise to the Kentucky market and contribute to the state’s medical marijuana program.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of this historic moment in Kentucky’s medical marijuana journey,” Flippo said. “We believe that our dispensary will provide a valuable service to the patient population and help them access the relief they need.”
Speakeasy is one of two licensed dispensaries in Fayette County, and its opening marks a significant milestone in Kentucky’s medical marijuana program. The dispensary is expected to offer a wide range of products and a professional, patient-focused environment.
