1,000 Pounds of Marijuana Seized in Utah Traffic Stop

A Pennsylvania man, Mark A. Brown, 41, of Palmyra, has been charged in Utah with multiple drug-related offenses after a traffic stop on I-80 in Salt Lake County. On November 11, Brown was pulled over for following another vehicle too closely, and a police K-9 was called to the scene. The dog indicated the presence of drugs, leading to a search of the vehicle. Authorities found over 1,000 pounds of marijuana and marijuana products, including 127 pounds of marijuana, 875 pounds of THC edibles, and eight THC vape cartridges. A search of Brown’s phone also revealed messages discussing drug transactions. Brown faces charges of marijuana possession over 100 pounds, drug possession with intent to distribute, and following another vehicle too closely.
