Ohio Residents Can Now Purchase Pre-Rolled Marijuana Joints
After months of anticipation, Ohio’s marijuana industry has finally made pre-rolled joints available for purchase in dispensaries across the state. The Division of Cannabis Control issued guidance on August 1, allowing cannabis processors to produce and sell pre-rolls. However, the regulatory process has limited the initial availability of these products, with many stores selling out quickly.
Despite the initial shortage, industry experts predict that pre-rolls will become widely available within the next three months as more businesses gain state approval to produce and sell them. Hundred Percent Labs, a cannabis processor, has already distributed a small batch of pre-rolls to partner dispensaries, while other companies like Amplify and Klutch Cannabis are planning to release their own pre-roll products.
Some dispensaries have already received early shipments of pre-rolls, with Ohio Cannabis Company and The Landing selling out their initial supplies in just a few days. Amplify is currently selling pre-rolls at its dispensaries in Columbus, Bedford, and Cleveland Heights, and plans to offer pre-rolls infused with live resin starting this week.
As more businesses receive approval to produce and sell pre-rolls, consumers can expect to see a wider range of products hit the shelves. Industry experts anticipate that most brands will start rolling out their pre-roll products over the next three months. With the addition of pre-rolls to Ohio’s marijuana market, industry insiders believe that sales will increase, making it a more attractive option for consumers.
