Denver Marijuana Business Shut Down Following Nebraska Drug Case Investigation
The Denver Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection has revoked the license of a local marijuana business, Blazin OG LLC, also known as OG Medicinals, after an investigation linked the company to a drug case in Nebraska. The decision was made after a traffic stop in March 2025, where the wife of the business owner, Eileen Steimer, was found with over 31 pounds of marijuana in her vehicle.
The Omaha police pulled over Steimer, who claimed she was delivering the marijuana to a friend in Michigan. The incident triggered an investigation, which led to the discovery of over 1,400 improperly tagged marijuana plants during an inspection at the OG Medicinals property in northeast Denver.
The city’s Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection made a “reasonable inference” that the marijuana found in Steimer’s vehicle likely originated from the Denver business, prompting an inspection. According to Eric Escudero, a spokesperson for the department, if a licensed marijuana business owner is arrested, it can lead to an inspection to ensure compliance with regulations.
The revocation of Blazin OG’s license is a result of the widespread violations found during the inspection. The company’s license was revoked earlier this month, marking the end of its operations in Denver.
