Florida Expands Medical Marijuana Access with New Dispensary in Sarasota
Planet 13, a leading cannabis company based in Nevada, is set to open its latest medical marijuana dispensary in Sarasota, Florida, on August 21. The 2,600-square-foot store will be located on Stickney Point Road, just a short distance from the famous Siesta Key Beach.
The new dispensary will cater to registered medical marijuana patients and caregivers, offering a range of products and services. According to Bob Groesbeck, Co-CEO of Planet 13, Sarasota’s affluent coastal community and strong healthcare demographics make it an ideal location for the company’s retail model.
“We expect this store to perform well from the start, thanks to the combination of a year-round residential population, seasonal tourist traffic, and a mature demographic that aligns with Florida’s medical cannabis program,” Groesbeck said in a statement.
The new dispensary will join Planet 13’s existing locations in Florida, further expanding the company’s presence in the state and providing more access to medical marijuana for patients in need.
